Eliza Evans’s All The Way To Hell continues the artist’s ongoing experimentation with creative forms of climate change resistance. It exploits unique features of U.S. private property ownership to impede natural gas extraction in Oklahoma and Pennsylvania.

This installation will be open and available to the public September 23-November 8, 2021. A reception and artist talk will be held October 16 at 1pm.

About the Artist

Eliza Evans experiments with sculpture, print, video, and textiles to identify disconnections and absurdities in social, economic, and ecological systems. Evans was born in a rustbelt steel town and raised in rural Appalachia. Her work has been exhibited at the Thomas Erben Gallery, Chautauqua Institution, Edward Hopper House Museum, The SITE ChaNorth, and BRIC. Residencies include the National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis, Bronx Museum AIM, and Franconia Sculpture Park. Evans holds an MFA from SUNY Purchase College in visual art and a PhD in economic sociology from the University of Texas at Austin. https://eevans.net/
